葡萄糖酸钠能够显著延缓混凝土的起始的和终了的凝固时间。在用量为0.15%以下时,起始凝固时间的对数与配加量成正比例关系,即配加量加倍,起始凝固的时间延迟到十倍,这就使能工作的时间从很少几个小时延长到几天而无损于强度。特别是在热天和需要放置的时间较长时,这是项重要的点。
